wasn't wanda supposed to be on the angus soundtrack?

weezer was actually asked for a slow song to use 'during
a dance scene' and rivers came up with 'wanda' after reading the
script (we all read it).  but 'wanda' is like a theme song to the
characters lives, so i think the director got confused, like why
would they be slow dancing to that? so as you see in the film, they
instead dance to mazzy star's 'fade into you' (which was well-known),
and weezer got switched to the fast song part of the dance,with the 
more fitting 'you gave your love to me softly'
